Praying Mantis

Look who joined us on our deck this evening! Can't say we ever saw a praying mantis while we were in Dallas. Evelyn was cautiously curious about this bug, and Julia was purely jubilant over the discovery. We saw this guy do some push-ups, but he didn't catch his dinner while we were watching.

    What great photos. I saw a praying mantis in the garden this Spring, but it was only a nyph.
