Julia has become more and more interested in helping me make things in the kitchen. When I was putting a trifle together this morning, she insisted that I push the stool over to the island so she could get in on the action. You can tell that she is a thorough sous chef by the way she is carefully studying the recipe.
Besides playing around with empty measuring cups and mixing bowls, I did let Julia stir one of the pudding mixtures. As you would expect, she made a bit of a mess while stirring, but she had fun. She'll get better with practice, just like her older sister has.
