Sugarloaf Mountain

This morning's house showings were scheduled for 9:30 to 12:00.  After tossing around several ideas to keep us out of the house, we decided to hike to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain.  The weather forecast couldn't have been better - sunny, light wind, temps in the upper 40s/lower 50s.  We cleaned the house spic-and-span and headed off to the mountain.

First we stopped at the east lookout, where the girls found several rocks to sit on for pictures.
Troy got behind the camera so I could jump into one of the pictures...
Then we headed over to the west side of the mountain and slowly made our way to the top.  Since we couldn't go home until 12:00, we took our sweet time.  Once at the top, Evelyn found the most snow she has seen all winter.  Remember the "snowstorm" we were supposed to get last Wednesday?  Apparently Sugarloaf Mountain got a decent amount of snow, and there was still some left.
We wandered around the top of the mountain for nearly an hour, checking out each and every scenic overlook.  Here are Troy and Julia, facing southwest -
Evelyn came up with a very clever photo idea:  take a picture of her and Julia through one of the holes formed by a pile of rocks.  The rocks made a natural frame, and the lighting was perfect.  This is one of my favorite pictures of the girls (ever).
Before we began our descent, Julia had to chill for a bit on some rocks that made a Julia-sized chair.  She looks pretty comfy...considering she's sitting on rocks!
