'Twas the night before Evelyn's birthday party,
and all through the house,
Evelyn was sewing bags made of burlap.
I know, it doesn't rhyme, but it's true. Evelyn sewed rectangles of burlap to serve as goodie bags for her 1930's party tomorrow.
And then she helped Kat and me make cheddar cheese puffs. These aren't Cheetos cheese puffs; these are like cream puffs, except flavored with cheese and herbs. The batter was incredibly thick, so it was a blessing that there were three of us to take turns stirring. The verdict? Absolutely delicious! (We had to snitch, just to make sure they were good enough to serve at tomorrow's party.)
