No, we're not Catholic.  And no, we're not from New Orleans.  However, since Julia's preschool theme tomorrow is Fat Tuesday (because it is Fat Tuesday), I thought I'd try my hand at making a King Cake...or two.  I made one for the preschoolers' snack tomorrow morning, and the other is for our family to eat. I found the recipe on someone's blog.  A King Cake is basically a cinnamon roll recipe, but instead of slicing individual rolls, you shape the dough into a circle.  Top the baked cake with icing and colored sugar (purple, green and yellow, in true Mardi Gras fashion), and voila!
