Evelyn is working on a make-your-own Girl Scout badge this summer. She chose canoeing as her theme, which then prompted us to head out to the cabin and lake at Cedar Creek. The girls had fun swimming in the lake . . .
. . . paddling the canoe around the lake . . .. . . floating in a "tubie" on the lake . . .
. . . more canoeing (with Julia pointing out the way) . . .
. . . and some fishing. Evelyn caught the biggest fish of the day - a foot-long catfish. She cast the line and reeled in the big guy all by herself! (Uncle Matt put the worm on the line and took the fish off the hook, though.)
