Last Day of Swimming Lessons

When we moved here five and a half years ago, I enrolled Evelyn in her session of swimming lessons at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center.  She was 3 1/2 years old, and Troy accompanied her in the water.  Julia started taking lessons here when she was six months old, in the Water Babies class.

These girls have learned SO much over the past several years!  Julia's confidence in the water has improved immensely.  She's also a speedy swimmer, with the assistance of her teacher or the floating barbells.
Evelyn has totally turned into a torpedo.  The class she finished today (and passed with flying colors) focused on fine-tuning her freestyle and backstroke, as well as improving endurance.  Evelyn was one of the few students in the class who could swim 50 yards (both freestyle and backstroke) without stopping.
You can tell Evelyn is proud of herself, too.
Julia had so much fun at swimming lessons - you can just see it on her face!
Here are our two little swimmers, closing a chapter in their swimming careers.  They look forward to seeing what water opportunities await them in Massachusetts!
